When your adult dating relationship comes to an end, I have one piece of sound advice that will help you get over the breakup. Not many people take this piece of advice, because it is very hard to do, but those who do are thankful and are able to move on a lot faster.

My piece of advice: Delete your ex from all social media.

You may be thinking, “Yeah yeah Craig, I’ve heard that one before, whatever, I don’t need to do that, I can handle seeing my ex and all of their updates, its no biggie,..”

Well, my dear, you are thinking wrong. Breakups come along with unforeseen week moments. During these weak moments you will want to curl up in a ball, cry your heart out, try as hard as you can to get back together with your ex, and, worst of all, lurk their status on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr, Myspace, Livejournal, I think I’ve made my point.

The worst thing you can do is dwell on the past and dwell on what your ex is doing. They are no longer a part of your life, and you still having access to all of their photos means you can still stay in touch without really staying in touch. Technology is a cruel bitch. A double edged sword.

You may see pictures of your ex and the person he or she is currently having sex with. This will either drive you insane, mad, or extremely depressed.

OR you could take my advice, delete them from all social media, and never have to worry about what they are doing, who they are doing, and why they havent messaged you.

Just try it. Its not the end of the world.
