What is it that fascinates people so much about celebrities, adult dating, and celebrity breakdowns in particular? Some of it could be the mean-spirited impulse that is in play when common people see the mighty have a great fall. Another could be that when a celebrity takes on the role of fame, they are saying that they want to be watched. So, people watch. The multi-city tour that featured the rantings of Charlie Sheen have been called the watching of a train wreck that clearly wants to be watched. But here is another reason – a whole lot of people are fascinated because they wish they could be having as much sex as he must be with his self-styled goddesses.
This possibility really might be getting to the crux of the matter. In many ways, people admire celebrities because they fantasize about being like them. Those fantasies are often about how much celebrities get laid, but that is not the only factor. Celebrities have more leeway in saying what they actually think. In the social graces category, they often get a major pass. When someone is having what seems to be an actual break with reality, none of the usual conventions matter. What would happen to one of us regular folks if we went around ranting about tiger blood and WINNING? For most of us it might not be such a winning proposition. We might wind up institutionalized, let alone get richer by selling tickets to our mania.
Somewhere inside, most of us wonder what it would be like to be rich, famous, and beyond reproach. Even when people are laughing and gawking at celebrities, they are still somehow loving them. Even famous folks can step over the line, but that line is so far afield from where most lines get drawn, that the life of celebs looks like an amazing playground full of freedom. We all might do well to let go a little in everyday life.

For the average person, running into someone who is a weak lover or a jerk is no big deal. They’ve met that type before and can let someone’s line of bull roll right off of them. To someone who is new to exploring sexuality, there is a greater chance of misunderstanding someone’s intentions and getting hurt. This means that this time of exploration is also a time for caution.
It should not be a problem to find someone to get laid with. The trick is finding someone sincere, kind, and able to usher in a new phase of life for a longtime virgin—A lover who is a patient teacher.
