The Good Ol’ Walk Of Shame
2
Everyone experience the walk of shame at least one in their life time. The morning after a wild night out is usually a rough experience. Your hair is all messed up (what I like to call sex hair), your feet kill from the heels you were wearing so you walk bare foot with shoes in hand, you’re in the same clothing from the night before (usually a skimpy party dress, which totally doesn’t make you look out of place at 9am on a major street), and you’re hung over and tired. Sounds like a lovely experience, right?
There is even a company that produces a Walk Of Shame Kit. Inside on the metal tin there is a dress, backpack, flip flops, toothbrush with toothpaste, a card that says call/don’t call on it, and a breast cancer awareness bracelet. How perfect is that? I think it’s pretty genius to be honest. The product is marketed to both men and women, promising that these ladies will never beg to borrow a t-shirt in the morning as long as you have a few of these kits hid away in your home. Who knew adult dating was so intricate?
The walk of shame can bring out many emotions in you. First, you may feel a rush of excitement from leaving so abruptly like that. Then, you may feel a little dread or guilt about running into your one night stand. Finally, even if you haven’t run into him, you may feel a bit disappointed that he didn’t even attempt to contact you, text you, BBM you, or write on your Facebook wall.
Here is my piece of advice: don’t feel guilty about the walk of shame. Turn it into a pride stride, hold your head up high, and be glad that you got some last night! Lord knows all the people giving you looks the next morning didn’t get any. Who cares what they think, they’re just jealous, right?
